TFL 19, held by Western Forest Products Inc., covers roughly 170,000 hectares of land on west central Vancouver Island around Nootka Sound. The process of gaining approval of Management Plan (MP) #11 and determination of a new allowable annual cut (AAC) for the TFL is underway.
The Management Plan provides a general description of the TFL, a brief history, a list of publicly available planning documents that guide WFP’s operations and a timber supply analysis for the TFL. The analysis provides information to assist the Chief Forester of BC in determining the AAC for TFL 19.
The draft Management Plan is available for public review online, or at the following locations until December 31, 2020. Please call ahead to arrange an appointment to view during normal office hours.
